Cods and whales in Newfoundland

AUGUST 2014

Newfoundland is home of the Humpback whales in summer. The western North Atlantic population of whales comes here to feed on Capelin during their spawning season.

Atlantic Cod join the feast and it looks that their population is increasing sensitively since the moratorium of 1992 regulating the catch.
